The Cape Town city centre lies between Table Mountain and the harbour and is often referred to as the City Bowl as the geographical area shape looks like that of a bowl. In this area you find the historical area's like the "Bo-Kaap", Cape Town Castle, The Parliament, District Six, Greenmarket Square and other attractions. The South African Museum and the District Six Museum can also be founded in the city centre. Close to the city centre you will also found Devils peak, Lions Head and Signal Hill. From Signal Hill every day at 12:00 a cannon is fired. The noon gun is one of Cape Towns oldest traditions. Cape Town City Government Website
